Sam turns five!

Sam has been counting down for months and it is finally here! He turned five years old Friday.

After Stephen's birthday in September, Sam became intensely interested in the details surrouding his own birthday. He asked if it was a holiday...I said, "sort of...it's a special day." He immediately made plans to stay home from school. He was pretty mad when that plan didn't pan out.

So he settled instead for having two birthdays. Yesterday, he got to celebrate with his friends at school. Today, our family took him to a local amusement park. He thought this was a great plan until he realized that celebrating your birthday two days in a row does not make you 2 years older. Apparently, he was all set to be six!

So here's our big guy...growing too fast!

One-year old Sam

Three year-old Sam

Five year-old Sam
(shockingly identical...just bigger)
Today, we spent the day playing miniature golf, as well as riding go-carts and trains. It was a great way to end a pretty insane week--- just the four of us...taking in lots of little boy stuff!
