Sam and I were out on a bike ride today. One day, I will have to tell you all about the Miller family bike saga...I got a bike for Christmas, but we returned it yesterday. So today, Sam was riding and I was walking.
I try to use these times as a chance to talk to the boys about God's creation. Today, we passed a patch of bluebonnets. I pointed them out to Sam and began to tell him how special bluebonnets are. I talked about how God made them and that they are the Texas state wildflower. I was in full ramble mode, when he cut me off.
"I know all about bluebonnets, Mommy! Ms. Sollohub told me about them at school. I even drew some."
"You did! I bet they were beautiful," I said.
He continues, "They were. I drew bluebonnets. Then I drew the orange bonnets, the blackbonnets and the brownbonnets. And some red ones, too. Basically, all the bonnets!" : )
