In Austin, his school had these big huge Crayon columns in front. So we always took his "first day" pictures in front of the crayon. No crayon here. So we settled for a bench.
Here's Sam and I in the school lobby. I wasn't crying that day until we got to school and I had to sit in the lobby with my boy for 15 minutes while sappy, instrumental movie music played in the background. Seriously, whose idea was that?
Here he is sitting in his seat at the "yellow" table. By this point, he was growing impatient with me. This was right before he said, "Mommy, I got it. You can go now." Nice!
