What I learned on my summer vacation...

Remember how every year when the school year started, you always had to write on the same subject..."What I learned on my summer vacation." I remember thinking, "I didn't learn anything...isn't that the point of summer?" I realize that the summer isn't over, even though the weather here is screaming August. But since I have had two full weeks with the kids now, I thought I would share some of the funny things that I have learned....
  • Even little boys like to pick flowers (meaning weeds) and put them in water when they get them home.
  • To a little boy, every day is a superhero adventure. For example, yesterday on the way to the local HEB (that's a grocery store to those of you outside of Texas), Sam screams, "We are coming to save you, HEB!"
  • Stephen loves gymnastics...We left his first class today and our child who seldom says much, looked at me and said "Wow, Mommy! That was great!"
  • Stephen believes that Wednesday is "Ones-day," and that's why it comes right after "Twos-day!"
  • Sam believes that at age 11, you grow wings out of your butt and turn into an airplane.

Apparently, I have a lot left to learn.
