Stephen started a Mother's Day Out program in September...but unfortunately, as much as we loved the program, it was not set up in a way that kept our little Houdini safe. So after his second successful attempt at escape, we brought the little cutie home.
So he started a new Mother's Day Out a couple of weeks ago. That is going well. The building setup is completely different, allowing our escape artist multiple levels of security. This particular feature has become super important to Keith and I. Our interview questions for preschools go something like this...."We know that you have an amazing curriculum, amazing teachers and an amazing heart for the Lord, but will you be able to find him at the end of the day?"
In addition to the challenge of impending escape, Stephen is also struggling with social interaction. We are walking a similar road to the one we walked with Sam, as we attempt to discover if Stephen has any developmental issues that need to be addressed. So now, he will go to the local elementary school for a couple of hours 2 days a week (in the room right next door to Sam, actually) to receive a little help negotiating interaction with other kids.
So here he is on his first day of "big boy school."
Note that he prefers the purple crayon. Sam always chooses to be photographed in front of the green one. : )

I don't understand why safety is a priority? Big whoop. So he's safe now. Big whoop. And by the way, what's the number of this place?
