The Miller Family Flu Fiesta

The title is a lame attempt to make our past week seem like more fun than it actually was.

Last Wednesday, I was talking to Sam's teacher and she was mentioned how many kids have missed school in the past 2 weeks. And then I said it...I should know better by now, but it just came out. I can't remember exactly what words I used, but it came out something like this:

"Wow! That's terrible. Sam hasn't missed a day of school all year. He never gets sick anymore!"

Stupid, stupid girl....

By 10:00 that night, Sam was running a fever. By lunchtime the next day, he had been diagnosed with the flu. The doctor told us to expect 7 full days of fever. YAH!

That was last Thursday.

By Saturday, Mommy was down for the count.

Monday night, Daddy started running a fever.

Tuesday morning, Stephen woke up not looking so hot. By Tuesday night, the final holdout had gone down hard!

So needless to say, this has not been a fun week for us. Right now, it is Friday night, and in my lap sits my youngest little sweatbox still fighting a fever. Hopefully, it will be over soon.
