Week 4 and 5 Training Update

Miles walked the past two weeks: 33.8 miles

Total Miles: 445.10 miles...(the distance from our house to Scott, Louisiana---almost to Lafayette)

Week 5 was the toughest training week. It called for regular mileage during the week, followed by an 18 mile and 15 mile training walk on the weekend. This week was particularly hard, but it it got done. My training walk leader ended up cutting the weekend mileage about 2 miles short each day---she said she was "giving us credit" for all of the miles you actually walk in daily life. My "type-A" self had a hard time letting go of that one, but my feet were sore, so I found a way. I was glad when the week was over, but not nearly as exhausted as I thought I would be. That definitely gave me hope for the future. : )

During week 4, we had 4 sweet friends in town from Birmingham. I chose not to train this week to spend time with them. We have company once or twice a year, so I didn't want to leave them to train.

The walk is getting closer, and I am getting excited and anxious. I still have about $300 left to raise, but I am trusting, as I have all along, that God will provide.
